Dear Hunting Friends

Welcome to Take Aim Safaris’ 99th newsletter and mid-season hunting update from Lotsane Safaris Botswana.

Over the last 5 years since we took over and expanded Lotsane Safaris we have extensively marketed our property and the Tuli Block of Botswana globally as a hunting destination. Plains game hunting on private game ranches in Botswana is not as well known as it is in South Africa and Namibia yet the industry in Botswana is gaining momentum and is even thriving thanks to properties like Lotsane Safaris and others. Most of you reading this have hunted in South Africa and/or Namibia.

We invite you to try something new: the Lotsane Safaris hunting ranch is for most hunters in a new hunting country, Botswana. Botswana is a super safe country to visit on holiday. I encourage you not only to hunt with us but also to spend more time in Botswana visiting the national parks while you are here.

We have priced our hunts competitively to build our client and agent database, making Lotsane Safaris the obvious choice for plains game hunting in Southern Africa. We own a large ranch featuring abundant animals, great hunting, excellent food, and professional staff. We provide clients with high-quality hunting vehicles and the best rifles money can buy for their use. Below is our 2026 pricelist. We have a few hunts available for this year, contact me for date options. If you book your 2027 hunt during 2026 we will use this pricelist for your 2027 hunt.

We offer three accommodation styles: a basic bush camp, a luxury lodge and a luxury tented camp on the banks of the Limpopo River. We can send you a full portfolio of photos of all three accommodation options. Please email us, and we will be happy to send you the information.

Traveling to Lotsane Safaris is super easy, we offer three travel options: 1. Land in Johannesburg where we will collect you and drive you to Lotsane, 550 kilometers. 2. Land in Gaborone where we will collect you and drive you to Lotsane, 330 kilometers away. 3. Arrive at Lotsane via private air charter on our private landing strip, clearing customs into Botswana is super easy in all 3 instances. We recommend a 7- to 10-day hunt with us.

Lotsane Safaris can also offer you elephant, leopard and plains game hunting at CT27, the largest hunting concession in Botswana, which directly adjoins the Lotsane Safaris game ranch. Please contact me for more information about big game hunting in Botswana.

We value your enquiry no matter how big or small and we welcome you to Lotsane no matter where you come from. Agents, hunters, Outfitters and PHs, please contact me to arrange your access to our hunting areas in the Tuli Block of Botswana.

Dear Hunting Friends,

I hope this 98th edition of the Take Aim Safaris newsletter finds you well.

Since my last newsletter, sent on 6th of January I am happy to report that we have already started hunting. Clients from Europe successfully harvested these beautiful old bulls in the Gonarezhou hunting areas of Zimbabwe and on our Lotsane Safaris ranch in Botswana.

As you may have read in previous newsletters we are expanding our operation in Botswana. We now offer hunts in Botswana’s largest hunting concession: CT27. This is a magnificent hunting area; I can honestly say that in my 40+ years of hunting Southern Africa, I have never hunted in a more beautiful or picturesque location. The rivers, valleys, hills and abundance of elephants, leopards and plains game make this an awesome place to hunt big game, it is common to see 300 elephants a day when hunting CT27.

Our pricing for Botswana big game hunting is very competitive; in fact these are the best priced elephant hunts (with CITES) that I know of in Botswana. CT27 adjoins our ranch, www.lotsanesafaris.com, giving our clients a great family holiday and a plains game hunt option (including sable and roan) at our luxury lodge in addition to CT27 elephant and leopard hunts.

Elephants hunted in CT 27 typically have tusks weighing 30 to 45 pounds each; bigger tusks are possible but not typical. Ivory and trophies are fully exportable. Clients are welcome to bring their legally owned rifles from any country including Europe and America. However, we have premium rifles available for hire, such as double rifles, Blaser R8s, and Rigbys, equipped with Swarovski optics or open sights. Transport to CT 27 is logistically very easy, with road transfer and charter flight options available.

We can add Cape Buffalo hunts to our CT27 elephant and leopard hunts by hunting on our partner outfitter properties just over the border in South Africa. These properties are within a two-hour drive from CT27 and Lotsane Safaris. Contact us for your elephant, leopard, buffalo and plains game hunts.

We are currently taking bookings for the 2027 hunting season in CT27 and Lotsane Safaris. Please contact me for more information.

I have limited dates available for hunting at Lotsane Safaris Botswana in 2026. I also have elephant and buffalo hunts available in the Gonarezhou hunting areas of Zimbabwe for 2026. Please contact me for more information.

Please visit Lotsane Safaris / Take Aim Safaris in April at the following conventions:

Please find our 2026 hunting brochure attached to this newsletter.

As always thank you for taking time to read my newsletters. We are fast approaching my 100th edition, and I recall so many great hunts conducted since I started my newsletters in 2008. A huge thanks to everyone who has made this journey possible. Hunters, guides and agents: please email me all your hunting enquiries. I look forward to discussing hunting opportunities and seeing what we can make possible.

Hunters best wishes

DEAR HUNTING FRIENDS

I trust this newsletter finds you well. Please allow me to take this opportunity to wish you all the very best for 2026 and the years ahead.

As we approach the 2026 hunting season, I am pleased to share some exciting news and a few important updates. We invite you to review our attached 2026 hunting brochure, which includes Lotsane Safaris plains game hunts as well as CT27 elephant hunt pricing. These represent some of the best-priced, fully exportable elephant hunts available in Botswana, offered in one of the most scenic and rewarding hunting areas you will ever experience.

Take Aim Safaris has now entered its fifth year of operating in Botswana. During this time, our Botswana plains game hunting property—operated through our sister company, Lotsane Safaris (www.lotsanesafaris.com) has officially been graded as a five-star tourism destination by Botswana Tourism and is fully operational. Bookings continue to perform exceptionally well, and the 2026 season is almost fully booked. We encourage you to contact us as soon as possible to secure your preferred dates.

We are also pleased to report strong progress and growing interest in our full-title, full-ownership farm sales project. Currently, four exceptional farms are available for sale within Lotsane Safaris. Each farm is approximately 450 hectares and includes traversing rights over 11,000 hectares of established hunting game ranch. To learn more and view the site map, please follow the link below and feel free to email me directly for additional information: https://www.takeaimsafaris.co.za/farms-for-sale/

Please note that investing in Botswana at this level provides the opportunity to apply for residency and work permits. Once approved, these permits allow extended stays beyond standard visitor limitations. The Lotsane team will assist you throughout the process and facilitate engagement with the relevant government departments.

We look forward to welcoming you to Botswana and sharing an exceptional hunting experience with you.

BREAKING NEWS…

We are pleased to share exciting news for serious big game hunters: we have secured an exclusive 15-year agreement with local stakeholders to operate within Botswana’s CT27 concession. The concession term commences in 2027. The current CT27 hunting quota includes 30 elephant bulls per annum, four leopards, and a variety of plains game. In addition, an excellent selection of plains game is available on our privately owned ranch, conveniently located near the CT27 concession.

CT-27 – BOTSWANA HUNTING CONCESSION

The CT-27 Hunting Concession is the largest hunting area in Botswana, covering over two million two hundred thousand hectares (more than five million four hundred thousand acres) in the country’s eastern region within the renowned Tuli Block. This vast, unfenced wilderness stretches from Tonota near the A1 road outside Francistown, south along the Shashe River on the Botswana–Zimbabwe border, extending behind Mashatu, through Sherwood, and toward Palapye.

CT-27 is defined by a diverse landscape of mopane woodlands and open savannah, with permanent and seasonal water pools that support high elephant densities as well as a healthy population of plains game and leopard. The Shashe River forms a natural wildlife corridor, contributing to excellent game movement throughout the concession.

The area is managed under Botswana’s Community-Based Natural Resource Management (CBNRM) program. Following the lifting of the national elephant hunting ban, CT-27 was tendered for elephant hunting in 2020, ensuring sustainable use while delivering direct benefits to surrounding communities, including revenue generation and meat distribution to villages.

EXCLUSIVE MANAGEMENT

We hold a 15-year exclusive hunting agreement for CT-27, commencing with the 2027 hunting season. As part of a long-term conservation and development commitment, we will begin constructing a permanent safari camp in 2026, along with drilling boreholes and establishing water pans to enhance water availability for elephants and other wildlife.

We also offer hunting at Lotsane Safaris, a privately owned hunting ranch in the Tuli Block of Botswana.

CT-27 Hunting Season: 1 April – 31 October annually.
Lotsane Safaris Private Game Ranch: Hunting available year-round.

On a personal note, I must add that in all my career hunting Southern Africa I have never hunted a more beautiful area than CT27, the mountains, rivers, valleys are exceptional even beyond belief, truly the best topography I have ever seen in my extensive hunting career.

For those that like to work out boundaries, here are the CT27 boundaries:

CT 27 lies from Tonota (next to the A1 to Francistown) all the way down the Shashe River (Zimbabwe border) to the Backline behind Mashatu going to Sherwood and from there to Palapye.

Hunters, Agents, Operators and Outfitters: We are currently open for bookings into CT27 for the 2027 hunting season, we are not only looking for clients/hunters to book and hunt with us, we are also looking for Professional Hunters, Agents and Outfitters to market and share this exciting area and hunting quota with us, the area is huge 2,200,000 hectares which is bigger than the Kruger Park, there are lots of hunting options, lots of hot spots and lots of potential for camps. Infrastructcure, investment, community development projects and community employment projects are all going to be rolled out, we are going to empower, train and uplift the community in CT27 through hunting and we invite serious partners to join us, please contact me to further the discussion and explore opportunities.

As always thank you for reading our newsletters and thank you for passing them onto your hunting friends.
