WELCOME TO TAKE AIM SAFARIS
YOUR GATEWAY TO HUNTING IN ZIMBABWE, NAMIBIA AND SOUTH AFRICA
Take Aim Safaris is owned and operated by Carl Knight who is a specialist Southern African big game Hunting Outfitter, Hunting Agent and South African Professional Hunter. I am a British National that lives in Johannesburg South Africa and have done so almost all my life. I have hunted South Africa and Zimbabwe extensively over the last 38 years as I write this in September 2018 I am 45 years of age. Take Aim Safaris is a safari industry market leader with a track record that spans over 11 years of full time work in the hunting industry having booked and/or conducted over 400 big game hunts to date. To see the photos from these hunts please visit the big game gallery on my website by selecting that from the tabs above.
As of 2018 I am expanding the Take Aim Safaris hunt offering to include Namibia as a hunting destination since Namibia is such a popular hunting and holiday destination. I recently returned from a 5 week trip to Namibia where I was visiting friends in the safari industry that operate in and are resident in Namibia. I have concluded marketing agreements with them to offer you my clients two top class hunting destinations in that country, these are not new relationships the Namibian Operators I am representing are long term friends who have been booking hunts from me and hunting our Zimbabwe and South African concessions for years.
Here is my brief overview of each country that I offer hunts in, for more detailed information about the individual concessions I offer please follow the relevant country tabs above.
Zimbabwe: Can only be described as the best hunting destination in Africa of that fact there is no doubt in my mind having personally hunted every African county open to hunting including and south of Tanzania. Zimbabwe remains the #1 hunting destination offer I have for my clients. Zimbabwe offers only free range fair chase hunting with no fences at all in any of my offered concession areas. The areas I offer are concession areas that are directly adjoined, open and unfenced to National Parks that serve as feeder Parks to the hunting areas. These hunting areas are owned by either the Zimbabwean Government or local Communities that lease the land to the local Operators whom I represent. We are not a South African company operating in Zimbabwe, I am a specialist/veteran hunting agent that books hunts for Zimbabwean Professional Hunters and Zimbabwean Operator companies. My relations in that country have grown immensely over the years to include my sister company relations with Nixon Dzingai www.ssgsafaris.com and amongst others well respected PH Operators such a Steve Meyer and Lloyd Yeatman, there are no better PH’s in Africa than qualified big game Zimbabwean PH’s.
Our Zimbabwe concessions are fantastic for all big game, these are serious hunter hunts in big game country. I book on average 60 big game hunters a year in Zimbabwe and have done so for some years now. I don’t want to upset any other Operators or PH’s however I am well qualified to tell you again that there is NO BETTER hunting destination in Africa than Zimbabwe for free range fair chase big game hunting. It is an honour for me to offer Zimbabwean hunts to you my clients.
Namibia: It is fair to is say the most popular tourism destination in Africa currently and perhaps rightly so with so much to see and experience in a safe and tranquil environment, Namibia in my mind is Africa in one country, the sand dunes of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund, the seals, the dolphins, the pelicans, the oysters and the picturesque little towns make those areas a must to visit. The Fish River Canyon (my personal favourite Namibian destination) is spectacular to say the least, myself and my friend Zim PH Simon Dzingai did the full 85 kilometre 5 day hike through the Fish River Canyon although you don’t need to do the hike to see and experience the beauty of the canyon that is equally as impressive from above as from below if you can do the hike I recommend you do it. Then of course Etosha National Park is a must to visit and enjoy as is Windhoek, combine all of this and more into a perfectly safe tourism destination and there you have Namibia. Should you wish to do any eco-tourism tours through Namibia I have a German and English speaking tour guide that is Namibian based that I will put you in contact with for before or after your hunt with us.
The cherry on top of all of this is that hunting in Namibia is very good and the Namibians are perfectly accepting of hunters. Take Aim Safaris is offering two hunting concessions in Namibia for plains game and leopard hunting one of them is a free range, free roaming hunting on a 12.000 hectare hunting farm in the Otjiwarongo district with no high fences at all. The second concession I am offering in Namibia is a high fenced family farm that is 8000 hectares in extent offering fair chase hunting with no internal fences and no camps, the hunting area is located in the Omaruru district.
Please read more about each of these individual concessions by following the Namibia tab above. Both of these concessions are within 3 hours drive from Windhoek, road transfers are done in luxury SUV vehicles. Over my career in the hunting industry I have become well aware that there is a very good big game hunting industry in Namibia although I am not entering that market at this point in time, our Zimbabwe concessions are perfect for big game in fact they remain the best I have seen.
South Africa: I grew up in South Africa and still live in Johannesburg with my wife and kids, I find that being located in Johannesburg works well for me as clients hunting in South Africa, Zimbabwe or Namibia mostly land in Johannesburg where we clear rifles and luggage for them before they continue onto their final hunting destination. In addition I am a South African professional hunter and Outfitter so I do some of the local hunts myself.
There are some very good hunting opportunities in RSA that has always been a market leader as far as Southern African hunting is concerned. South Africa is for the most part a high fenced area hunting destination. There are some very good hunting farms in RSA that would cost and do cost a fortune to buy for the farmers that own them and cost a lot to run and maintain. If you would like a hunt in a 4 or 5 star luxury lodge with high end amenities then RSA is the place for you, if you are of limited mobility then RSA is the place for you, RSA would also be ideal for family hunting holidays.
If you would like the option to hunt two of the best areas in RSA then follow the above links to the two RSA hunting areas I offer, those are Limpopo Serengeti and Philippolis, both very nice hunting farms that are as close to free range as you will get in RSA, both of these farms offer fair chase hunting.
Summary: I am 100% committed to offering my clients from all over the world bookings into the top Zimbabwean, Namibian and South African hunting concessions available based on the strength of the area for the species that the client wishes to hunt, for instance some areas are better for Elephant than others same goes for Lion, Buffalo and Leopard etc.
I have top concessions available to hunt top quality trophies on a fair chase basis. My hunt prices are the best that the industry has to offer in top concessions, I don’t offer marginal areas or bad hunts, my hunts are all well researched and hunted by me in person long before I offer them to my clients, well-priced top quality hunts is what I do. You will be hunting top concessions with the best PH’s when you book with Take Aim Safaris.
I only book hunts for licensed and registered Safari Outfitters and Professional Hunters. I am a licenced Safari Outfitter and Professional Hunter myself as well as a specialist big game Booking Agent, on this basis I know exactly what is required to make your safari a successful one. I have personally hunted the big 5 and dangerous 7 as a client, most of the species in these groups a few times over not to mention guiding them many more times over, I know very well what you expect from your hunt and your PH. If you want a no nonsense booking then contact Take Aim Safaris. I do guide a limited number of hunts per annum personally, my passion for African hunting and guiding remains even after 38 years of hunting in Africa.
I have many Booking Agents, Outfitters, Professional Hunters as clients as well as hunters themselves, feel free to email me your enquiry. If I can’t help you I will point you in the right direction, no enquiry is too big or small.
Whilst you are on my site please take a moment to subscribe to my newsletter and read some of the past newsletters sent out. Also take a look through the trophy gallery that speaks for itself. I have many references from hunters who have booked hunts with or hunted with me in the past in the areas you will be hunting.
This company was started by a hunter with a passion for hunting, a passion for conservation and a love for this industry, that same person still runs this company, that passion remains.
Hunters Best Wishes.
