Dear Hunting Friends

Welcome to the 27th edition of Take Aim Safaris Newsletter.

Since my last newsletter we have had some great hunts with clients from Germany, South Africa and America taking these lovely trophies including these beautiful nyala bulls also these really big Kudus and these top trophy quality Bushbuck and also a 4 meter Crocodile shot at Lake Kariba and a 53 pounder tusk weight Elephant bull that was shot at our new concession in Matetsi Zimbabwe where really top trophies are being taken.

I would like to focus on my Cape Buffalo hunt special offer as you may know I am currently running a 5 day Cape Buffalo hunt special offer in our Hoedspruit concession adjoined to the Kruger National Park in South Africa, the cost of the hunt including the day fees and the Buffalo trophy fee is R90.000 (South African Rands) in the current exchange rate environment that works out to around 6.700 Euro’s including all day fees and your trophy fee, this is a great time to book a Buffalo hunt in South Africa as the exchange rate is very good for European hunters taking up this offer. Plains game can be added to the hunt, so can extra hunting days be added if you like, non-hunters are welcome to come along on the hunt as we have a beautiful lodge and the Kruger Park gate is very near our concession making this a good opportunity to hunt a buffalo and to see the Kruger Park.

If you would like any more information about this hunt or the hunting area please email me and I will be happy to answer any/all questions you may have.

Here are pictures of Buffalo hunted in the area, you can expect to shoot a Buffalo of this trophy quality.

If you are interested in an Elephant Bull hunt I am still running the following special offer in Matetsi Zimbabwe:

  • Price includes day fees on a 10 day Elephant Bull hunt in Zimbabwe.

Dear Hunting Friends

Welcome to the 26th edition of the Take Aim Safaris newsletter, I hope you are all well and a big thanks for taking the time to read and hopefully enjoy this newsletter.

Since my last newsletter we have been happy to welcome new and old clients to hunt with us in South Africa and in Zimbabwe.

First up for this newsletter is an old friend and long term client of Take Aim Safaris, Matthew who has just completed his 5th hunt with us. After lots of planning and much deliberation about where to hunt his leopard to ensure his best chance of success at a very big tom cat we finally decided on the very game rich area of South Africa bordering on South Africa/Botswana and Zimbabwe in the Lowveld Valley where the leopards truly do become very big, also on Matthews wish list was a big “dagga boy buffalo”. I am pleased to be able to show you all the pictures of this massive leopard in fact the biggest I have ever seen this cat weighed over 80 kilograms and has a skull that measured over 18 inches.

We had very good early success on our baits (can’t tell you too much here dont want to give away our secrets and we were fortunate enough to bag this leopard on the 3rd night of the 14 day hunt. I have attached to this newsletter some pictures of the bait note the claw marks illustrating the size of the cats paws and also a picture of our blind, this cat came into the blind at 19.30 PM shortly after nightfall.

The buffalo hunting was great with Matthew pulling off a superb shot on this buffalo dropping it dead in its tracks. Well done and thanks for the great hunt Matthew.

In addition to the dream hunt that Matthew had we recently welcomed clients from Poland and from Germany hunting in South Africa and in Zimbabwe between them they had great hunts and managed to take these fantastic trophies, we thank them for the hunts and look forward to welcoming them back soon.

We look forward to our upcoming hunts and we will keep you updated, please feel free to email me your hunt enquiry on this email address and please read more about Take Aim Safaris on our website also be sure to pass this newsletter on to your hunting friends.

Hunters best wishes, hope to see you soon.

Dear Hunting Friends

As the hunting season moves on I am happy to report to you all about more early season success both in our new Matebele Land Matetsi concession and also at Gonarezhou.

We recently welcomed Lithuanian hunters back on their second hunt with Take Aim Safaris this time at our new concession in Matetsi Zimbabwe. The hunters managed to shoot a big bag of trophies including an Elephant bull in the 35 pound range, a Hippo, a Crocodile, a Kudu bull, a Waterbuck bull, a Civet Cat and other Plains Game.

Here are some pictures from that hunt:

Yesterday the 9th May I returned from the Gonarezhou in the Southern Lowveld of  Zimbabwe where we have a Russian client hunting for a trophy elephant bull, he had booked a 15 day hunt to increase his chances of shooting a 70 pounder plus (tusk weight) Elephant bull, there was great movement all around our concession and the client was lucky enough to get this 78 pounder on the second morning of his hunt, this bull was in big group of bulls it was hard see how many there were in the herd my estimate was around 12 bulls the ones we could see all had good ivory, the client had also shot a Hippo bull by the time I left camp on the 7th May his last hunting day will be the 14th May.

Elephant hunting especially for a trophy bull is not always easy sometimes hunters don’t see/won’t shoot an elephant, the higher the tusk weight expectation the client has the harder the hunt will be. This time it all worked perfectly.

Dear Hunting Friends

Welcome to the 24th edition of the Take Aim Safaris newsletter and the 2nd one for this year.

As the African hunting season gets into full swing I am happy to report on more successful hunts following on from our early season success with trophy Elephant Bull hunts. We recently welcomed clients from Germany and Lithuania to our Gonarezhou concession in the Southern Lowveld of Zimbabwe, the hunters had booked for Buffalo and Leopard hunts and with current hunting conditions near perfect we were able to harvest these magnificent trophies.

With more hunts to come I hope to able to share similar success stories with you soon.

Perhaps yours will be one of them? Book now to come and hunt with us.

I recently wrote an article for the German hunting magazine Jagen Weltweid about hunting trophy Elephant Bulls in Africa, for those of you that did not manage to get a copy of the most recent JWW I have attached a copy of the article for you to read.

I am happy to announce that I am now offering a new hunting concession in Matetsi East in the Western part of Zimbabwe. The concession borders on the Hwange National Park and onto Botswana in an area known as Matebele Land or Matetsi East. This concession is run by two very experienced PH’s from Zimbabwe. Matetsi is well known for full maned lion and very good Sable also good numbers of Buffalo exist in the area and there are lots of Elephant in the area as the area is adjoined to Hwange National Park that is well known for its high numbers of Elephant. Hippo and Crocodile are also available in the surrounding area. The camp is very nice, here are some pictures.

There is no need for an air charter service to hunt in Matetsi as the area is one hour drive from Victoria Falls international Airport. Our Gonarezhou concession remains a prime hunting area with top trophies consistently being taken there by happy hunters from all over the world. If you have any questions about big game hunting in South Africa or Zimbabwe or wish to book then please email me for more information, I do have all the big 4 plus Hippo, Croc and Sable on quota for the 2013 season. Please feel free to email this newsletter to your hunting friends.
